Designing the Future
Below is a poster series called Designing the Future. It represents the three women designers who I feel have inspired my design career the most. On the left is Debbie Millman, who's informative nature through Design Matters has always taught me to think deeper and try harder. In the middle is Barbara Kruger, who always seems to make a statement. And on the right Paula Scher, who's maps directed me to become a designer. All three of these talented women have impacted the design world and me. The goal with this project was to pay tribute to my favorite designers.
Look at Design: Infographic
Below is a project that was given to me in VCD 2, it was originally made to be a monochromatic infographic, made in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, about basic design principles and the types of grids that are associated with design. The goal when design this project was to make something unique and interesting, it needed to keep the view interested unlike a lot of other infographics. It was made to replicate a being crying over the true beauty of design, with a funky techno twist.
Red Eye High: Packaging
Below is a packaging project that was part of a Visual Communication Design class. The goal was to create a brand and product, in order to create a mock up and one marketing material. I have always been inspired by vintage packaging and I wanted to do my best to create a product that really represented what it was like to live back in the 1800's.
Bloody Jack: Book Cover
Below is a redesigned book cover for one of my favorite books. The goal with this redesign was to use strong figure fore ground, in order to help tell the story and capture the readers attention quickly. The story is about a young girls transformation for orphan, to ship boy, to lady (somewhat), in order to help demonstrate these dramatic changes it was important to show different versions of her that are all still connect. Also in spirit of the name the pop of red, helps demonstrate the intensity of the book.
